No account required
Every core feature works without signing up. An account is entirely optional — only needed if you want cloud backup or the browser-based Web App (Pro).
Nothing phoned home
No analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, no telemetry of any kind is built into NYX360.
Direct connection
The app ↔ your server, over your LAN or your own reverse proxy. No relay, no NYX360 server sits between them.
What NYX360 doesn't do
Being upfront about the edges of a local-first app:
- No push notifications while the app is closed — checks run while NYX360 is open, an honest limit of a client-only, local-first app.
- It doesn't host or index any content itself — it's a remote control for services you already run.
- Away from home, it needs your server reachable via a reverse proxy or VPN — same as any self-hosted setup.

Questions
Do I need to expose my servers to the internet?
No — on your home network, NYX360 talks to them directly. Away from home, you connect the same way you'd reach any self-hosted service: a reverse proxy, VPN, or Tailscale-style overlay network. NYX360 doesn't require or provide a tunnel itself.
Where are my server credentials stored?
Encrypted, on your device only — in Keychain on iOS and the Android Keystore-backed secure storage on Android. They're never sent anywhere except directly to the server you configured them for.
Is NYX360 affiliated with nzb360?
No. NYX360 is an independent, from-scratch app built by Wiedmer Group KLG.
What platforms does it run on?
iOS and Android, as a native app — not a wrapped webview.
